What you will do
As an Awards Administration Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating, prioritizing and overseeing the transactional aspects of the Awards Administration (grants or scholarships) function for NSERC, SSHRC and Tri-Agency programs, ensuring policy requirements are translated into efficient and effective business processes and procedures.
- Supervising a team of Award Administration Officers across both agencies, providing procedural guidance and direction, in collaboration with the Team Leader, to ensure delivery of client-centred administrative services.
- Monitoring team performance and productivity to ensure established service standards are met.
What you need to succeed
Education
-
Graduation with a degree from a recognized university or college, or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant work experience
Experience
-
Experience in the administration of awards and/or funding programs
-
Significant* experience interpretating and applying policies and procedures
-
Experience supervising and coordinating the work of a small administrative team delivering high-volume transactions
-
Experience working with manager-level stakeholders on sensitive or complex issues
-
Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives
-
Experience implementing and monitoring client service or performance measures in a team environment
* Significant is equivalent to three (3) or more years of experience.
Knowledge

Knowledge of policies and practices governing the administration of grants and scholarship programs

Knowledge of the research environment, including research funding structures in Canada and the post-secondary setting

Knowledge of electronic administrative systems used in the management of grants and scholarships
